Originally built as a Bed and Breakfast by Susan Keachie, Siskiwit Bay LodgeSiskiwit Bay Lodge eventually was sold to a wealthy businessman from the Twin Cities to be used as a corporate retreat center.

The current owners, Bruce and Sandy Von Riedel, first visited the lodge as honeymooners in 2000 and attempted to purchase the property when it first went up for sale. Although they were disappointed with the results of their initial attempt to purchase the property they kept their eyes on the lodge and when the businessman was caught engaging in nefarious activities the property went into receivership.

Through a remarkable story of writing letters and praying the Von Riedels, who are committed Christians, believe God answered their prayers and they became the owner of Siskiwit Bay Lodge, which may be the most beautiful property on the Bayfield Peninsula.
